Service Sync is a business application operated by M-Power Auto Electrical (registration CK 2016/481108/07, Kempton Park, South Africa) that lets field service companies create digital service reports and delivery notes, capture customer signatures on site, and email the resulting PDF documents. This policy explains what information the app processes and how it is protected, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and other applicable law.
Job records exist solely to produce the service report or delivery note the customer signed and to give the subscribing company its own records. Completed documents are emailed as PDF attachments to the subscribing company's office address and to the customer email captured on the document. Signature images appear in the PDF documents and are backed up with the rest of the report, so the subscribing company can retrieve signed copies from its portal; they are protected by the same per-company isolation as the record they belong to.
Records are stored on the technician's device and backed up to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), encrypted in transit. Each subscribing company's data is isolated: server-side security rules prevent any company from accessing another company's records. Access requires an authenticated account belonging to that company.
We do not sell or rent personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except the service providers required to run the app (Google Firebase for storage and authentication; the email service used to deliver documents) and where disclosure is required by law. Each subscribing company controls its own records and its customers' data within them.
Records are kept for as long as the subscribing company maintains its account, as part of its business records. Subject to POPIA, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information — contact us and, where you are a customer of a subscribing company, we will coordinate with that company as the responsible party for its records.
Service Sync is a business tool and is not directed at children under 18.
We may update this policy from time to time; the latest version will always be available at this address.
